McPhilimy Associates sculpts a treasured event for local jewelry association

Situation:
The BeJeweled Gala is sponsored by the Women's Jewelry Association (WJA) to benefit the Chicago Abused Women's Coalition (CAWC).  The event featured a live auction of fabulous jewelry designed by such celebrities as actor Joe Pesci and author Jackie Collins.  The WJA's planning committee contacted McPhilimy Associates to make a sparkling media splash.

Solution:                                                                                       McPhilimy Associates designed a campaign for high-profile coverage, aimed at major broadcast and print outlets throughout Chicagoland, as well as national jewelry trades.  By event's end, the firm had been in contact with more than 200 reporters, producers, writers and editors -- in television print and radio.

Ensuring the success of an event, however, often goes beyond simple media coverage.  For the WJA, for instance, McPhilimy Associates took an expanded role as counsel during the planning phase, working with committee members and advising on various elements of the gala, and also provided assistance at the event itself.

Results:                                                                       McPhilimy Associates secured interviews with both the WGN Morning News and FOX News in the Morning, while print placements included the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, and Chicago Magazine, as well as industry trade publications Lustre and Fashion Accessories.

The WJA reported that fund-raising for the CAWC exceeded their expectations.  Thanks to McPhilimy Associates, the BeJeweled Gala was a gem of an event.
